Drink cheaper beverages and Save money
Looking for yet another way to save money? Try changing your drinking habits and you could save hundreds of dollars every year. From soda, coffee to alcohol there are many ways to save money.
If you are a soda drinker try to limit your number of sodas to 1 or 2 per day. Always purchase the sodas from the store and never from vending machines. You pay twice as much for a soda from a vending machine as you would in the store.
If you are a coffee drinker drink the free coffee at work or make a cup at home before you leave for work. Stopping at expensive gourmet coffee shops everyday can add up really fast. Even those occasional stops at convenient stores and gas stations drain your funds.
Finally, if you are an alcohol drinker limit the number of drinks to 1 or 2 per day or less. The cost of alcoholic drinks can put a major damper on your finances. Don’t drink alcohol at expensive restaurants or bars. If you have to have a night out with friends stop by the store and pick up some drinks. You’ll pay three times less by staying in for the night.
Always remember that water is the most health choice and is usually the best for your wallet. Follow the same rules as soda and don’t buy expensive bottled water from machines. Water from the tap is probably just as clean and healthy. Water fountains are also a great source of free beverages.
I’m not saying to completely stop having fun when it comes to beverages, just learn to limit them. Treat yourself to one of those over priced vending machines sodas once a week if you really need to have one. Stop by the gourmet coffee shop once per week and get your favorite coffee or grab a beer at the neighborhood bar on Saturday night, just don’t make it a habit. Save that hard earned money for more important things in life.
